Summary
Introduce a logout option in the Power Lynx portal that allows users to disconnect their account from a device and return to the initial login screen.
Background / Problem
Currently, once a user enters their details into the Power Lynx portal, their device (MAC address) becomes bound to that account with no option to log out.
Example Scenario
A child connects to the wireless network and enters their details to browse available packages.
Later, a parent connects using the another device and purchases a package.
The device is still linked to the child’s account due to MAC address binding.
There is no way to log out or switch accounts to parents account without external intervention.
Impact
Prevents seamless account switching on shared devices
Causes confusion and friction for users
May lead to incorrect account usage or failed purchases
Increases support requests for manual resets
Proposed Solution
Add a “Log Out” button or similar functionality within the portal that:
Removes the current account association from the device (MAC address)
Ends the active session
Redirects the user back to the initial login / welcome page
Optional Enhancements
Add a confirmation prompt before logging out
Include an automatic timeout/logout after inactivity for users who have not purchased
Provide a “Switch Account” shortcut
Please authenticate to join the conversation.
